Another little break

18 Feb

I’m off for week’s holiday this morning, so my visits to Sheep will be intermittent, depending on when my household let me have access to my laptop! I’ve been banned from use of social media on a daily basis for the week.

And for my regular commenter Hypo, I’ve done everything necessary to retrieve you from spam so you shouldn’t have any more trouble.

Have a good week.

Hi Jennifer. In another context :

“OK, I’ve spent the last hour or so reviewing Jennifer Wilson’s articles on the Drum, and those of Tankard Reist – and guess what? A certain commenter calling herself “Julia” betrayed all the hallmarks and mannerisms of Melinda Tankard Reist.

Poor Jennifer has been deep in argument with Tankard Reist for a year or so and doesn’t know it. I did not know it then either. I recall a long exchange with “Julia” – and with “Orchid Jar” and “Naomi” who all see the same face looking back at them from their mirror – but I can’t recall the article off hand.

I pointed out to Wilson recently that a certain commenter calling herself “Marchioness” was in fact Tankard Reist, in recent articles at ABC Religion, once more bearing all the hallmarks and stylistic mannerisms of MTR’s style.

It must be nice to use different monikers to promote one’s views and attack one’s opponents. And agree with your own posts, thus : ‘“Julia : Orchid Jar was quite right” and “Naomi made a good point”’ and so on.”

All’s fair in love and war, and on the net apparently.

DQ, I think you are on the wrong track here. I say this quite confidently as I been on the Unleashed/The Drum much longer than you and I know the regular commenters and their style, their ‘favourite’ words …

I’m not going to expose anyone, but will say that there are some people on The Drum who ‘talk to themselves’ frequently, I’m wise to them and try to avoid them like a plague, I find this kind of behavior unforgivable …

Im sure Jennifer is aware of this practice.

Helvi, you are not the only one to doubt this detective work, and obviously without a confession there can be no proof beyond reasonable doubt. But I work on the balance of probabilities, and on that basis I can confidently state that MTR and her cheer squad can meet in a phone box, provided it has a mirror.

      LOL

DQ, ‘your’ Julia writes very well, she knowledgeable, also her language use is creative, she is a writer.
MTR writes matter-of-factly ,in plain English…take another look 🙂

Helvi. you are right – I’ve reviewed ‘Julia’ and ‘Naomi’ and they are in fact both ‘JG Cole’ – aka ‘Stagger Lee’, ‘Lady Penelope’ ‘Totem Lesson II’ and lately ‘Robert Gould Shaw’. He/she/it is quite a piece of work, and it loves throwing around the word “fallacy” .

I apologise for misidentifying the culprit; when one goes looking for a tasmanian tiger, one may be excused for seeing scat and thinking it to be that of a thylacine and not that of the common garden tabby.

Cole and his alter egos seem to infest the Drum Unhinged; it complained recently that most of its posts are not published. Maybe the Drum mods are wise to its behaviour and know its aliases.

Yes and it has a hankering for mindless, meaningless, repetitive drivel.
The drivel often ends with a question or challenge which feeds it’s ego.

It has limited targets, but a shallow agenda. Let it starve.

Let it starve in all it’s dress-ups.
