Thus spake the white man Mark Latham at the announcement of the new panel show on Sky, featuring former Howard front bencher and proud white male Ross Cameron, and Rowan Dean, white as editor of The Spectator magazine. The show will be called “Outsiders” (owing to them all being white and male, a disadvantaged and marginalised demographic in this country) and broadcast on Sunday mornings, immediately after Barrie Cassidy’s “Insiders” on ABC TV.
The trio also like to be known as “Trump’s Aussie Mates,” and fervently hope for a Trump landslide victory in 2020.
Latham breathlessly expressed the trio’s vision: “We want Trump to abuse the media and for them to abuse him back and we want more lectures from actors…”
I don’t know that anyone has yet characterised Donald Trump as a man-child, however, he seems to me the perfect poster boy for the breed, and it comes as no surprise that Latham, Cameron and Dean have at last found the pack leader they’ve so long been looking for, the man who endorses their regression.
Normalising television shows based on the spectacle of abuse, delivered to us by white men children who are opposed to gender balance (no emotionally mature male would oppose gender balance, let’s face it) may well be our future since Trump let white men children everywhere know that from now on shoving your white dick right in everyone’s face is more than ok, it’s what real men do.
It will end in tears, these things always do, the question is, how long will it take?

We had a bully pack at my elitist boy’s club school ruled by a king bully. So pathetic to see who is sending in their applications to be in the new global bully pack ruled by Uncle Donald. I’m hopeful that I won’t be targeted by being the class clown; although Trump is still going after SNL. My prediction is that our new glorious leader won’t be as bad as my school king bully was.

There is a narrative going around that satire is dead. Nope, satire has got to go harder. My post-Trumpian, vile, offensive Man Brain comedy podcast is my attempt to reach an audience who unfortunately won’t ever read and be inspired by great blogs like noplaceforsheep, people who can’t understand their high privilege level and cry when they lose a few percent, those who feel that the left has failed them, and especially those who just accept that some/most/all men are animals and that will never change. Hopefully it all helps to prevent us from falling into violent tribalism.

Early days. Only done 2 episodes and just posted 2nd. About 70 listens so far which isn’t terrible. Trying to work out how to get to the audience who might enjoy it and slowly get the message; an audience who usually like misogyny comedy without satire and evidence-based feminist egalitarian motivations. I’m working on getting retweets from some podcasters higher up the food chain. That’s the biggest challenge. Best intentions and all that. Your writing motivates me to try so thanks again!

If it was a 2 minute sketch on a comedy program I’d definitely be laughing. Rampant denigration of white men is overdue to have the mickey taken out of it. However I agree this program can only end in tears and think it might be cruelly exploitative of Mark Latham to give him this platform on which to self-destruct publicly, which is presumably what Sky News is hoping for.

Oh dear (laughs), this does open a can of worms in these days of political correctness.
Of course, it is a hugely American thing and Australians will miss some of the nuances because of demographic and political influences there compared to here, although there
are basic similarities.
Partly it is like treading on eggshells because of the mix of groups involved:
There are the hard cracker right, like our Hansonists but far worse, Then there are conservative pragmatists and opportunists like Trump and the Brietbart crew, who are a bit like our Murdoch opportunists (eg Rowan Dean, Greg Sheridan, Bolt etc), but not necessarily emotionally hung up on religion and conspiracy theories, which of course involves groups within US Jewry.
Because of the power and reach of often touchy centrist and conservative Wall St Jews on the one hand, their support is cherished by politcs, as seen with Clinton’s run and the policies she espoused which were seen as hawkish, as ro Wall st asTrumps and pro Israel, right or wrong. Trump’s very crafty move was to dog whistle the crackers with the sly dig about “Jew SA” after many of these hooked up with Clinton.
Yet to regard the US Jewish twenty odd million strong in the USA as of one mind and outlook is so wrong, since as with other components of the population. Some are “öbservant” eg religious and conservative, yet an equally influential grouping is secular and leftist, think Amy Goodman, Naomi Wolf, Naomi Klein, Chomsky, Bernie Sanders, Elisabeth Warren etc, as also occurs in wider Anglo society. Like other people within different grouping within wider US society, there are different, even oppositional takes on Zionism (v) Anti Semitism., the Shoah and Israel US relations and foreign policy imperatives.
No critics of the foreign affairs academics, relatively conservative Mearsheimer and Walz, were more critical of these experts and in calling fro them to be expelled from Academia a decade ago than conservative Jewish spokespeople, for example.

The problem is, there is a very powerful Jewish clique in the US and these people instill a type of fear, partly realist and partly old imported European Judenhecht and this is exacerbated by reluctance to discuss this influence without reference to “Änti Semitism”, something used increasingly as a silencing device meant to curb inquiry into the US’s current power structure. Of course it is easy to understand why so many Jewish people are reluctant to discuss issues involving a possible in- group when the Holocaust is still at the back of so many minds.
Like I said above, imho it is complex and I will avoid further speculation till others feel incined to add to any discussion eventuating.

What I took from it Paul, was “Western Civilization” sowed the seeds of its own defeat right from the start of its own beginnings, (not necessarily a bad thing), a safety valve or use by date. One credo I hold dear, is that when you find the need to go to any length to defend a stance, you’ve already lost the fight.
It will be a great relief as a white man to see the final stage of the demise of the civilization of my accidental birth take place.

I was just thinking about how much of a total chode Chomsky is. Classic smart dumb brilliant in his speciality then people start listening to him on everything. Now I’m sounding like a troll! I guess it’s possible to be a Trump-neutral troll. I blogged earlier this year about Trump being the greatest ever personification of a Rorschach test. Trump is certainly triggering my climate change fears, but I blame our whole destructive invasive species for that snafu, especially my demographic of privileged white guys. We make cane toads seem lovable by comparison. Yet I remain optimistic overall.

Weren’t you certain that Trump would be trounced? Predictions are great fun, sure. I got it wrong too because I thought Hillary would just win. I keep going back to her abhorrent deplorables speech. Educated elistist lefties have got some work to do and I put myself in this group. If we care about humanity then that means we care about Trump voters and even One Nation voters. Not easy! We don’t have to agree with them but they’re human too and largely driven by their cultural programming just as we are. The left can fix some of their dodgy code now and the right can have their turn when they lose and their whole world falls apart. Somehow, the whole emergent duopoly is pretty stable now and for the foreseeable future. I really hope I’m not proven wrong with that prediction!

PT Barnum had it right 150 years ago, and they aren’t any brighter now.
But I disagree about the deplorables speech – it was a fine outbreak of honesty and truth. It breached the “don’t frighten the horses” nostrum.
But if you want a real point of damage: in an election where you need to get the voters to turn up, get the FBI to breathe life back into the dead horse of the emails. If undecided voters ever needed a reason not to bother voting . . .

They did not offer enough in the way of hope that austerity neo lib pol economics was nearing its end.
They should have come to terms with the whistleblowers, particularly Wikileaks, instead of cornering them and forcing them to fight back.

Of course, my take on just what those words mean is different to yours.
Hillary defined the deplorables thus;
“You know, to just be grossly generalistic, you could put half of Trump’s supporters into what I call the basket of deplorables. Right?” Clinton said. “The racist, sexist, homophobic, xenophobic, Islamaphobic—you name it. And unfortunately there are people like that. And he has lifted them up.”
Thus defined, I see no reason to resile from the term.
As for the voters being stupid – for every 120 IQ there is an 80 IQ, and guess who the 80 IQs voted for if they could manage to vote at all – noting that 90 million registered voters –
yes, 90,000,000 voters –
did not even bother to vote at all.
I think that qualifies many as stupid, careless, negligent, delinquent – insert your own word.

Interesting that you mention 10%. By my calculations that’s how many deplorables voted for Trump – half of his 60 million voters, and around 10% of the US population.
We might compare Romney’s statement that 47% of Americans would never vote for him, as the Republican candidate last time around.
The trick is to get enough sane sensible Americans to actually vote.
