Probably won’t be writing much for the next little while, as I’m leaving for the annual road trip to the Snowy Mountains today, listening to David Bowie all the way.
Haven’t felt so sad about a performer’s death since James Gandolfini carked in 2013. They leave a hole in the world when they go, these shiningly talented people.
Anyways, be well Sheep people, will catch up again soon and here is Mabel Jane in my arms in a milk coma, because life goes on and who knows who the next shiningly talented person will be?

Vale David Bowie.
His collaborations with people like Brian Eno, Mick Jagger, Queen, Lou Reed, John Lennon, Robert Fripp and many others were inspirational and seminal. He sparked new trends in music and fashion, though not always for the best ( 😉 )
He will be missed.

I guess the mixture of her metaphores is a measure of the value of her message. When did troops wading ashore at Normandy in WWII under fire have time to dig themselves trenches for to go ‘over the top’ from? That was WWI jargon. And no one should know that better than an Australian.

The Poms actually passed an Act of parliament in 1928 fixing the date (the first Sunday after the second Saturday in April – if you can call that fixed) but never implemented waiting for the “opinion” of the (wait for it) various Christian Churches.

Yesterday was a good day. I think I may have helped derail some blogosphere/MSM interface outrage-inciting agitprop. So I’ll embed this entre to the Twitter conversation here:
Another reason yesterday was a good day was that in the process of assisting in this derailment, it became clear to me how to introduce the promised, but long-delayed tangent to the discussion of the Briggs, Dutton, Gayle, and Knox outrages that have monopolized the blogosphere/MSM interface in recent weeks.
It has all been, in my opinion, orchestrated to keep the sidelining of Special Minister of State Mal Brough in the shade. Orchestrated. And by and large the commentariat have risen to the clickbait.
More to follow in due course. I am assuming this thread to be an appropriate place for this tangent, as, having paid our online respects to the passing of David Bowie, there is no subject discussion of Jennifer’s to otherwise appear to hijack.

I think it was meant to be an outrage generator to further distract the twitterati. I suspect it was pulled so quickly because of a belated realization that it might become the focus of an instance of the Streisand Effect. There may have been a trail that led to instigators that would have begged some awkward questions.

Not my style, Guinevere. But I wear a Cordobes when playing golf. I think perhaps Aussies have a certain look, as do the French and the Poms. It is there for the astute observer.
