Because when the chips are down, what you need is a little bit of love.
Forever Young
Bob Dylan
May God bless and keep you always
May your wishes all come true
May you always do for others
And let others do for you
May you build a ladder to the stars
And climb on every rung
May you stay forever young
May you stay forever young.
May you grow up to be righteous
May you grow up to be true
May you always know the truth
And see the lights surrounding you
May you always be courageous
Stand upright and be strong
May you stay forever young
May you stay forever young.
May your hands always be busy
May your feet always be swift
May you have a strong foundation
When the winds of changes shift
May your heart always be joyful
And may your song always be sung
May you stay forever young
May you stay forever young.
gorgeous images to always treasure, you fortunate woman.
I look at the plentiful lives my six grandchildren lead and give thanks for the difference two generations has made, and I worry every day for the children having a bad time right this minute, whose repulsive damaged parents have not yet made sad headlines. I’m sad for the childless women who weep at the headlines, knowing they would have treasured the child.
There needs to be an aptitude test before conceptions are permitted. (stop laughing – when I run The Ministry Of Fear, there will be).
Now get a mental image of Grandpa Bob playing Twister with his own. Forever Young indeed.

Thanks Helvi! The kids in the snow with my son I don’t see as often as they live in the US.

What a perfect little baby! I have two small grandsons, and am rocked by how happy my life is because of them. Of all the riches in life you’re told as a child await you in adulthood somehow grandparenthood isn’t mentioned, don’t know why. And I got two for the price of one: an only daughter gave us these two little guys.
You look so happy with your family. Best wishes and thanks for your wonderful tweets and articles.

Thank you Mara. I don’t seem my son and the other four kids (in the snow) much as they live in the US. That’s Archie at the top of the post, and he’s spending next weekend with me while his parents frolic.

Babies so lovely to hold, so lovely to give back to their parents and be grateful that my babies sleep through the night, dress themselves and are only a few short years away from bringing me breakfast in bed. But I do love baby snuggles.

Now and again I get to have Archie for the weekend. Next weekend is our time. I don’t know why but there seems to be something quite magical about spending time with him. He is such a mixture of gravely thoughtful and finding everything hilariously funny.
