My god, what savage wounds. They’d takes months to recover from that. As for (labor?) feminists, I think an uncomfortable time, they had huge hopes that Gillard would demonstrate womens credentials and capacities, once and for all.
The reality is, she’s inexperienced and prone to a bit of panic- she got handed a poison chalice with the leadership, just as Labor was discovering some of the hard realities of government and politics in the cold light of a dawning new day, after the Rudd honeymoon period.
Faulkner and Wran have put the Gillard governemt on notice, they have a brief window of opportunity for Gillards government to get back on track, if she can’t get on top of the job before its too late for a leadership change before the next election.
In the meantime of course, the real villains, like Murdoch and Abbott, slink off damage-free under the cover of the smoke screen created of their lunatic potical arson.

Speaking of hits, here is a little tit-bit that has come my way from an FB friend in Sth Africa, of all places.
My friend Selim reports that John Pilger’s film premier in the US ha s just been banned at short notice and Pilger’s trip to the USA cancelled. No wonder the sheep dont know what goes on, the few reliable broadsheet types who DO try to tell the truth are now being censored?

I know it’s there to tell a story and maybe shame complacent white people who don’t want to know and that ‘s good. What you actually have, is evidence of the facts affecting this muggins- a bit like the yanks did with the folk of Dachau township, after the allies found the camp.
